New York are using pharmacies as test centers for Cv19. There are thousands of these....why can't we?

Because our Government prefers to have 4 test centres within 100 mile radius, invite around 80,000 to try and book a thousand slots

You can order home testing kits from the gov website. You have to do it pretty early in the morning though as they're only allowing a certain amount to be ordered per day

Pharmacies here already rammed busy because GP’s are so closed. Not to mention they’re already under pressure because of the shortage of pharmacists.

doesnt seem any different to in home bargains or asda to be fair. Always seen groups of staff doing stuff when I'm in them.. stacking shelves etc and unloading. And definitely not 2m apart .

And the queue for my local pharmacy is always huge and thats now x

I've only gone in to collect prescriptions for people. I go in

And they chat while making sure I have everything and then hand it over. All have masks on too x to be honest social distancing is slipping at most places

London

Some jobs you can't socially distance.

I also think it pointless talking about social distancing in shops, parks etc whilst expecting people to travel on packed public transport to and from work.

Our pharmacy people queue outside, they let only 2 in at a time and if your prescription is pre-ordered and your payment exempt or pay cash they will bring it outside to you instead of going inside

It's the queue outside I'm talking about with about 20 people in it, all standing 2 metres apart...as it the above post..but they come right up to you to take your details with no mask on...

We collect our meds from our GP surgery. It is easy, very rarely queue. They ask all the questions and take your temperature before you go in. There is a Lloyds chemist inside if you need anything else. Are the on line tests only for essential workers?

I'm guessing they were suggesting a relaxation of rules, with multi-purposing the environment. The chemists could be there too, after closing shop.
