What have you missed because of covid

So everyone is missing things because of the current situation.

I'll be missing my big birthday party.

A main holiday.

2 festivals.

A long awaited stay with far away relatives.

Several short breaks.

I've missed a funeral of a dear family member too.

What will you be missing?

A couple of concerts, a holiday and a couple of birthdays. Nothing as tough as missing a funeral. You have my every sympathy. Xx

.

A date that means the world to me.

A funeral of a close friend's mum.

A conference that was important to me.

A couple of birthday parties.

My partner not working ridiculous long hours and me not worrying about him.

Just some of the things I've missed. I'm quite lucky in many regards so I'm not complaining too much.

Being widowed you get used to your own company, nothing new to me.

The only thing I’m missing is my family and friends - were a close family and I miss hugs so much x

Manchester (she/her)

I miss lots of my swinging friends, but fortunately they're low key blowing up my phone

My family have cancelled two trips to see me and us seeing each other in person has become legally impossible until there's a vaccine.

I've missed...

A semi-planned holiday in Devon

The social contact of going to work and my board games group

Looking for a new social to attend (though I'm not entirely regretting that didn't happen)

A board games convention in the summer

My birthday didn't really matter, I had nothing planned anyway.

over there by that tree

Loads and loads,

2 x festivals (possibly 3 but latitude have been quiet)

3 x holidays

Furniture deliveries as they need 2 men.

Countless club nights

And the biggest one...... freedom to just walk into a shop without queueing!

On the plus side I’m loving the cheap fuel costs!

Yeah I know, I went as a kid not long after they put the carrier experience in. We ended up watching harriers practice take offs and landings, it was a cracking day.

Lots of exciting travel plans.

Was going to travel home as well to sort my mother’s memorial out. They are still flying out of Heathrow so I could go I suppose but as it’s in lockdown the other end there is not much point at the moment.

The world will still be there for me to travel to when it’s over.

Missing family, friends and football in that order.

Also something as simple as sitting watching people going by.

However the one thing it has taught is who and what are really important and to hold on to that.

Just bored. All lectures are online. And he is the last one in his halls. Very few others on campus. I rate his boredom levels by the amount of texts I get a day (1000s over the last few days)

So much. -seeing family and friends, going for walks in the country with friends for exercise, many club nights, Milf club, Aurora festival as it has been cancelled this year, taking my daughter's away somewhere for a little break, feeling free to do what I want in the world.

I'm missing cuddles and intimacy I'm missing so much.
