I see the point in raising money....but my God it's dreadful....it could just cause people to want to go out to avoid it!!

Wonder if dozens of "celebrities" will raise more money than Captain Tom on his own?

I wonder how some of the so called comedians ,participants etc are feeling today once they’ve watched themselves , head in hands looking for a rock to crawl under cringing

Ayr

I missed it, as I always do with such telly events.

It raised £27M.

So, I can fuck right off! LOL

Hats off to them. I think it’s quite a brave thing to do. Let’s be honest, an awful lot of ‘stars’ won’t let themselves be shown on tv without all the professional makeup, lighting, cameramen and editing. None of them had to do it.

And that’s nearly £60m in the bank for charities.

Catherine Tate and David Tennant were brilliant, the rest was bang average.

Surprised anyone even bothered to tune in. Watched Cave In on Prime about giant beetles in an emerald mine. More believable and entertaining than watching egos on parade on the BBC!

More evidence that the BBC has a death wish - a shabby, second rate collection of the usual suspects doing the same old shtick. Between this and the endles stream of pointless pieces to camera being done for the news outside closed shops or from College Green even though westminster isn't sitting, it's as if the BBC are determined to show us how many of their values they've lost.

I can't believe that people still donate to BBC charities. Were they just forgiven and forgotten over the yew tree/sir Jimmy Saville thing? The government department that employed, enabled and covered up child abusers? Then silenced the abuse victims.... Give money to them? You gotta be kiddin' me

Nope. Sorry. Can’t see a connection between the two.

Did you not know that Children in Need and Comic Relief are seperate registered charities? Money doesn't go to or even through BBC.

Unless you did but wished to make a political point??
