So, amongst the new rules announced for the extended lock down period, you are now allowed to go to a friend or relatives house, to stay for a few days to "cool off" after an argument..

This is possibly aimed at domestic violence victims, but anyone else think this will be abused?

Oh, actually, I think that might just be guidance from one police force... as you were!

(Sorry)

GUILDFORD

Guidance came from the National Police Council and the College of Policing. As with most things some will use it as an excuse to bend the rules but need to look at themselves.

I think the revised guidelines are for all forces. You can drive for exercise - subject to conditions. You can rest in a park during exercise etc - subject to conditions.

You can buy luxury goods - subject to conditions.

It's good that the limitations of police and the laws are acknowledged and clarified for the benefit of the police and the public.

If we didn't have such a useless, feckless, incompetent government these rules would be coming from politicians who can be held accountable, not from the college of policing.

Good idea if you and your friend has been in lockdown for 3 weeks and are ok what's the problem, they let people go to work and mix without knowing who they mix with. But going to work is ok because you're paying tax.

The problem is one of you might be asymptomatic and then pass on the virus because it been 3 weeks and people want to bend the rules
