Anyone else just tired of all the opinions everywhere and the absolute dearth of facts.

I’m not just talking about social media but also mainstream media. I’m also so tired of what facts there are being interpreted with a spin on it.

What is it about opinions being like arseholes?

Where there's no facts to be had, all you can have is silence or opinions.

I'd much rather have an hourly message saying "No real news" than the rantings of 'expert' nutters who try to spin opinion into fact.

The continual scrabbling for every half founded piece of ‘news’ is such crap!

The news has been about feelings and opinions for years.

For at least 10 years there has been an ever increasing prominence of reporters interviewing other reporters to establish a story.

Here's some facts.

The first reported case of covid19 has been confirmed to have been reported in November.

Doctors and medical researchers in Taiwan attempted to inform the world health organisation about human to human transmission of the virus in December but their advice was ignored.

In January the world health organisation advised against countries imposing travel bans on people traveling to and from China despite declaring a state of emergency in wuhan and panic buying billions of dollars in medical supplies from countries like Australia

The world health organisation advice against the use of face masks for protection against the virus stating it would not help

I'd suggest sticking to financial news outlets.

There is hardly an op Ed articles.

It takes some gettk g used to if you are only used to mainstream news but I'd start with reuters and ap for unbiased commentary.

Unfortunately as the digital age has expanded we are all having to become out own editors and that's hard with a wealth of consumption at easy access.

Some are better equipped than others at wading through the dirge
