"I had the virus (mild) about 4 weeks ago and self isolated for 8 days. No symptoms since. Now my step-son has the symptoms, cough, feeling hot and a headache. Do I now have to self isolate for 14 days??? How on earth do you know you had this virus if you didn't get tested. You could of had flu.

Do I now have to self isolate for 14 days??? Might work in a shop or unblock sewers or fix the telephone line all key jobs but wouldn't necessarily know medicine.

Do I now have to self isolate for 14 days??? Then she would be an essential worker not a key worker Besides everybody knows what you're supposed to do by now surely

"I had the virus (mild) about 4 weeks ago and self isolated for 8 days. No symptoms since. Now my step-son has the symptoms, cough, feeling hot and a headache. Do I now have to self isolate for 14 days??? Unfortunately yes because there’s no way of knowing if you’ve actually had the virus unless you were tested. Also if your step-son is positive you can carry the virus on your clothes and other surfaces and then spread it to others. Best to be safe

" Yes from another frustrated key worker who worked with people with Covid-19 symptoms but without testing, we just have to assume. But isolating unless your local area offer testing is the safest thing to do atm. Best regards, I know how frustrating it is.
