737 covid officially reported deaths today in UK.

England 657

Scotland 24

Wales 18

N Ireland 11

These are scrolling on BBC as I type.

Think I must have forgotten how to add up!

(These are all hospital deaths so although not the real numbers all are on same basis)

The numbers never add up. Not just today. There are delays in reporting and other issues that make the UK data fairly unreliable. This is one of the numerous issues that this country have. Also during the weekend numbers tend to be lower because there is even more delay than usual.

Wasn't there something about weekend figures being inaccurate because of delayed reporting?

Maybe the individual countries are not reporting over the same timescale. Maybe some are showing midnight to midnight and some are reporting midday to midday. the UK rate could be based on the same timescale for consistency. From my ‘maybes’ and ‘coulds’ it shows that I don’t know and just putting out a possibility

Dont know either...but these are all supposed to be hospital deaths in 24 hours up to 5pm yesterday.

On other days they have added up correctly (I've not checked every day). Just puzzled...but not fretting it...off to my allotment now...

Did I hear right when he said there has been 19000 treated in hospital and 10600 have died?

I round the figures up a little...but that is not a good outlook at over 50% dying from admissions...

They are saying that about half the patients that require a ventilator don't survive.
