Blocking messages from anyone but friends, puts each of us in control of our message experience. We can choose who we may want to engage with, as and when we wish to.

Then we can let others live as they wish to. It may keep the mods life a little easier too, from reduced reporting from people who expect to be getting lots of messages that are unwanted

I thought that I might use Tinder during lockdown to find one or two cool people to Skype with while we’re all at home bored. I’m not going to bother now- out of the handful of guys I’ve chatted with quite a few have wanted to meet up

The longer the social distancing rules are ignored the longer the social distancing rules will be there and the more draconian they will become. I certainly don't want to live in a police state so please just do this simple thing to get us through this crisis.

Scarlett is a nurse working with people who are terminally ill with all sorts of conditions, who are shit scared of catching covid because they don't want to die in isolation, without their family being able to be near them or be at their funeral. Some of the stories she comes home with (obviously respecting patient confidentiality rules) and unburdens herself to me are harrowing.

She has now started showing symptoms of Covid19 and we have had to go into complete lockdown. Thankfully she has been tested but has to await results for upto 48 hrs, which is completely stressing her out!

If the selfish behaviour of the minority of people causes this crisis to continue longer and longer there might not be an NHS to help them, their loved ones and the ones they have inadvertently contaminated, due to staffing levels.

I know the selfish and self important ones thinking it will never happen to them will probably carry on being complete dickheads but hopefully someone might see the light.
