Suggest you buy some gloves to wear for when you wash them.

No.

I'm using ordinary soap and water instead of that super-duper mega handscrub stuff.

Yup, but happens to me most winters anyway. Its a combination of wheelchair wind burn and over washing

Not itchy and red no, however, early on I washed my hands as normal and then with each of my offspring (encouraging the surgical clean procedure type thing) and yeah my hands dried out and became tender

Wet your hands first.

Then add soap. (how it should be done)

Wash rinse and dry thoroughly

Use cream afterwards thin layer regularly.

Sudocrem good for redness.. But thin layer.

Most hands cream is good on a regular basis its the art of regular that many forget.

I Wash my hands alot nhs worker of 25yrs

Water first and apply hand cream regularly is the key

Washing my hands approx 80 times each 12hr shift. Twice each time i take my ppe off. With the bleach dripping into my gloves aswell my skin is getting thinner, redder and shiny but effing spotless

Water first and constant hand conditioner is helping but they still getting proper fucked!

I use Lotil, especially in winter, stops my hands from drying out and cracking.

Central

I use Sudocrem as standard. Other moisturisers as needed. Aloe containing products may help. If you can grow some, freshly picked pieces can soothe - hoping you have no allergies to these.

I've been using normal soap and water but I think I've been washing my hands to much and it's made my wrists go red and dry, this skin is drying out.

I used cream but it doesn't seem to be doing anything. Still itching and red.

Oh, well I shouldn't complain il live

Manchester (she/her)

I posted about this ages ago and had the mick taken out of me for it

I'm still struggling with a bit of dermatitis and I'm going through hand cream like it's going out of fashion

North west ish

Emolliant or a good quality hand cream. Said at the beginning that the number of referrals to dermatologists will rise after this. Hand wash and condition should be promoted instead of just hand washing.
