Seem to see a lot of people saying that people should not be out running. We are still running, we stick to the back streets and cross the road or take a very wide berth if we do see anybody. I dare say that there are some who aren't taking precautions but exercise is important both mentally and physically.

There's nothing wrong with going for a run on your own or with household members.

What you have to remember with all these conspiracy theorists.....there bank accounts are all rather large. Tommy Robinson, case in point. Not a conspiracy nut, just a racist who doesn't actually care about this country. Loves spreading hate because he makes an awful lot on money doing so. David Icke is worth a bit I'd bet, clever business man more than anything.

With the better weather I have been out cycling regularly. Just been furloughed so I will welcome the chance to be out when I want, not when work think I should or shouldn’t be.

However, I will be cycling on my own and doing my best to stay well upwind of others as the guidance says keep a lot of distance fore and aft.

I'm still running. I'm lucky to have trails nearby so can in the main avoid people. Forecast is good today so will run this evening as its obvious people will be out during the day.

There seems to be a growing tendency to divert blame from the government handling if this on to those doing nothing wrong. See also the government attacking premiership footballers

I've been doing my daily outdoor exercise...normally running now but previously walking. I live in the city but will go on the streets with wide pavements and will run on the road to avoid people to keep a distance. I hope they don't ban outdoor exercise as it would be a shame for us who are following the rules about it.

I'm running daily. It's nothing I wouldn't normally do, I run cross country so see fewer people and I take appropriate precautions.

Of more concern is the amount of teenagers who are clearly meeting up to spend the days out with their friends in groups while there's no school

Near Maidenhead

Got two reminders recently why we are being asked to keep exercise short.

The day before yesterday there was a loud pop from the front tyre of my bicycle. Got an instant flat. While going downhill. Slowly.

The day before that, I'd gone down a hill quite fast.

Yesterday I went running and hopping over a stile felt my foot slip a bit on the wood. So that could've been another one...

Fully agree with this Tom.

Whilst the minority seem to be intent on spoiling it for the majority (meeting in parks etc) you are also correct that even if outdoor exercise was stopped, it still wouldn't stop the idiots from carrying on. Have seen groups of kids out & even a BBQ up the road from me with several attending who obviously don't live there in the last couple of days.

I've got nothing against people going for a run, and I can also understand that gym members have got to find an alternative - it's just that there has been a noticeable explosion in the number of joggers out and about, and the whole point about the 'Stay at home' message is to prevent the spread of this thing and the more self-disciplined we are, the less time we'll have to to do it for.

The vital aspect of life today is to keep a 2 metre distance from people who you don't live with. If you are walking, running, crawling etc outside and retaining this distance then it's not of greater risk. If we believe we are infected, it would be wise to isolate at home, getting exercise there, though if living alone and very isolated, I'd see it as reasonable to venture out, for health purposes, with extreme distances from others.

People are projecting their internalised emotional and psychological baggage on to others, as they are unwilling to confront their own selves, finding it easier to scapegoat and bully.
