How many of you unfortunate enough to be living in a city at the moment plan moving to the country for a better, safer life once the world regains some normality.?

Presumably not right now but after the lockdown and social distancing rules are stepped down

I don't consider living in a city to be unfortunate. I like it.

Frome

I live in the sticks and I've hardly noticed any difference since lockdown. Can go for a walk along the riverbank and up into the hills without going out of the property, literally!

Up on them there hills

We live in the country, there are more people about as there has ever been.

Smoking, farting, talking so loudly disturbing the hush of the forest.

Cannot get my head around why?

Catthorpe

Sorry, don't consider it better at all. I'll visit the country for holidays and a bit of rest and recuperation but prefer the active and buzz of a town or city to the sedateness of the country.

This is heartening to hear

I was feeling very sorry for city folk today as I was cutting down trees in my garden and wandering alone in my local woodland feeling literally as free as the birds I could hear

I was truly thinking this is not fair and perhaps not morally right I can have such freedom

So glad to hear some city folk are happy where they are too

Soon as we had our first daughter moved out of London to Hertfordshire now in Derbyshire. Wouldn’t move back to London rent free although both born there so glad we got out.

Country side..

Hmm swap?

Voles rats mice. (in attic dancing) with 3 bait sonar ferret poo n traps

Polecats weasels rabbits eating the veg. Foxes destroying anything that landed in garden you clear up. Cold.. old houses.

No gas no pavements.

Kids can't just ride their bikes

No buses

No railway

No local friends for kids

Social life limited..

Floods when it rains no drainage on road so child can't walk to coach stop. No local pub no local shop can't just nip out.

Fuel costs more

Food double stock

Power cuts x10 a year

Drains block x 3 a year

Coal chainsawing wood

200ft garden

Unless you got tons of money for a posher house..

Moved to the countryside from Birmingham when I was 19, best decision I made. Great going for daily walk at the moment , so peaceful, very few folk around, wildlife, nature, rivers. Feel very blessed

I have seen footage of a MP telling people who don't live in their village to leave, I don't blame them as they're only going in these places so they don't get spotted out
