I am doing fine, the key is to keep busy and to both exercise the mind and the body. I am reading, drawing, learning myself german and training at home to mention few things that I do

I don't cope at all and I have dogs ,cats birds and loads to feed, clean up after and get exercised. I am on 6 acres and have a lot to fit in. I Also care for my parents. I hate all this. I need to see people discuss things and find solutions. I don't have time to do anything like you to help

I see and yes, you seem to have lots to do as well with the 6 acres there.

Coping very well with isolation in fact I'm loving it, it's the 13 hour night shifts on the front line thats scary so if your at home feeling bored just be thankful. I'm sure there's lots of people on here in the same situation we all just put our game face on and do our best. Lot of chatter in the news about people playing God the only people playing God are the idiots still trying to meet.

Riding the waves. Sometimes I feel resilient and sometimes stretched and sore.

I find being alone hard. I'm separated from lovers and unsure when I'll see them, which feels very hard.

I'm lucky in the way that my kids dad lives very nearby and we can still share care of our children.

I'm grateful for my garden.

My dad may have to have major surgery next week which is very worrying. We won't be able to see him.

My heart aches for those who are suffering greatly because of this.

My friend lives in Delhi and you have no idea of the plight of those homeless street children and poor families who need to search for food but risk being clubbed by police.

Mostly, here, our privileged existence means we will be just fine, we have to dig deep that's all.

Mental health is an issue for our vulnerable and for some, separation is heart breaking.. my elderly neighbour who can no longer visit his wife of 65 years in the nursing home. She will most likely die soon. So sad.

I'm volunteering in the community to help out. And to give my self some purpose as all my work has been cancelled!

You can buy T-shirts in Germany with "no kangaroos in Austria" superimposed on an Australian "watch for kangaroos" road sign. Apparently made for American tourists who didn't know and mostly bought by Australians.

We have each other to keep company, we have our moments were we have a little tantrum and through our rattle out of the pram. But generally we are enjoying the experience. In a few months time we will look back on this event and hopefully remember all the positive aspects of our confinement.

I feel empathy for those of you that are confined on your own and socially isolating.

Loving it cos i am a loner. I have my dogs for company and my days off are mine. Usually i spend a day off with my mum who lives 20miles away and another day off out with my daughter. Although i miss them both having some time alone without clock watching is pretty perfect and gives me time to recharge my batteries before going back to my nightshift job

I'm still.following my usual routine with the exception of not travelling to the office as I've been working remotely for the last three weeks.

Dinner and coffee breaks remain the same and I cook myself a meal in the evenings and do the normal household chores.

Only real difference is that the most I've had to wear is a T shirt for a video conference call.

There's a thing whereby a nurse has asked for people to crochet or knit matching hearts, one to go with the deceased and the other is being sent to the nok as they can't be with their loved ones as they die..

I can't do either but Lynn does etc and wondered if anyone isolating or struggling with the lockdown might find this a way of helping to pass the time..?

I’m practically a recluse anyway so doesn’t bother me. I now have a valid reason not to go anywhere.

But my children are missing their other grandparents due to them self isolating (both over 70 and health issues) and my eldest is missing his friends. We are kept busy with School work and there is always a bit of gardening or tidying to do.

We are very lucky to have a large garden and i’m very thankful for that right now.

I still get to go out to work and see my cancer patients and colleagues... So get brief bits of relief but stayed in all weekend. I'm pretty okay on my own and don't have this need to "sunbathe" or picnic in the park unlike some really selfish people. Only what's essential right now.

As someone who lives alone and likes to be alone a lot of the time its not as big an ordeal for me as it is for some.

Not being able to just pop to the shop, garden centre, etc is a bit of a bind but the worse aspect is the unrelenting gloom and doom from the government and media.

I understand why thats so because as soon as hope is given a large minority will just swing straight back into the old routine.

It’s not isolation affecting me it’s knowing too much!.

Ex nhs the majority of my friends are medical, my head is a mash today.

I’m scared, I never normally fazed by illness as I in some respect can control it.

But this clearly I can’t.

I’m a key worker, my parents are with me and both under medical advice to self isolate, I’m scared of taking it to work or bringing it home.

Much as I’m protecting myself as much as I can I can’t control others.

I was stupid and watched contagion today too which has made me 100 times worse.

The well known antidote to Contagion is the Lonely Goat Herd from the Sound Of Music.

Really feel for you on the physcologial front of sharing with your parents and all that entails for a frontline worker at the moment.

I would guess they are very proud and are glad to be able to be their for you despite the situation.

Dial up the goat herd, can't go wrong.
