Scary Coronavirus Statistics

Hi all I was looking into the factual statistics from Who World Health Organization directly and they make for some grim reading.

The total number of Cases including all ACTIVE, recovered and death totals stands at 903,826. Of them 45,335 have died.

The total number of actively infected cases to date is 667,718

Currently Infected Patients

632,863 (95%)

in Mild Condition at present

34,855 (5%)

Serious or Critical at present

Now what's really important is the mean average from day 1 symptoms to death has been calculated at 14 days.

So when you look at the numbers of active cases above some people will be at day 1, day 2, day 3 and so on.

So the majority will not yet be at day 14 (average) where death may / can usually occur.

The total number of completed cases which have had an outcome to date is 236,108

This breaks down as followed -

190,773 (81%)

Recovered / Discharged

45,335 (19%)

Deaths

When calculating how deadly a virus can be once enough completed data has been collected like it has now many scientists, researchers etc will look at completed cases only and see how many people survived against how many who died and so far 19% of completed cases resulted in death.

I appreciate that the true figure will still but a lot lower as not everyone is been tested by any means but all the above statistics are taken from confirmed cases worldwide and in my opinion this makes for scary reading.

It also explaining why death rates are souring now as naturally more people have become infected but more people are also reaching the 14 day on average point of the virus where the deaths most often occur.

(Stats are correct at the time of posting)

Stay safe everyone x
