"Due to having our time wasted a couple times, we try to not travel for first meets anymore. Important to note that we meet with single males, not couples, so its a whole different world. If we were meeting couples, maybe an hour or two. We probably wouldn't travel any further than that unless there was something else we wanted to do further away. We to will meet select single males, but we do understand the time wasters thing. We've met with people for a social as far as 150 miles if it looks pretty promising. ( 75 for us, and 75 for them. If they don't show for coffee we send them a message that we knocked one off in the parking lot. And sorry we missed them. "

"Since we don't play in our own backyard, we often travel an hour or hour and a half for social meets. Keep in mind that's after really clicking online and knowing that there is a 80% chance we will meet again. " It's always more fun in the neighbors back yard.( especially in there pool or hot tub.) We understand. We don't mind a little travel for social meets, we just think that who we're meeting should put in a little effort themselves.

"Probably an hour tops, unless we are very interested. Don't mind the travel but over an hour is too far not knowing if they people will actually show. too many people play games, usually for every 1 meet we have 3 or 4 couples we have to out because they either don't show or play games. I think fab should have a way for people to tag people that don't show for meets." We agree on the tag if they don't show up for meets as long as the don't have a good excuse. Sometimes though things do happen. But common courtesy dictates that you get a hold of the other party and let them know.

"I agree, we have kids and know things can pop up, we can be understanding. Usually though when they don't show, they don't bother calling or anything. " We deal with that a lot with single guys. I thought the couples scene would be a lot more reliable. I am surprised to hear that. Not shocking I guess, it is the internet after all, but I picture couples as being more reliable in general. Grass is greener syndrome I guess, lol.

"We've also had couples that we message back and forth all the way up until the day of the meet, then stop responding. Which for us is still just as bad as not showing. Having kids takes effort to coordinate a babysitter which we usually do days in advance. We have had some great meets, it just can be frustrating when people play games. So I think a way to let other fab user know about people that waste peoples time would be great. Just recently we had been messaging a couple for a little over a week, we set up a day had tried several babysitters and finally got one to watch our kids. we talked on and off all day around 7:30 pm we asked what bar would they like to meet, the guy said let me talk to my wife, 3 1/2 hours later he messaged back "are we still on for tonight" we said no thanks we already told our babysitter never mind. things like that can be frustrating." We understand the kids thing. Ours is in his final year of college now.( and still lives at home.) But it's a lot easier to arrange meets now that we don't need a babysitter.
