How many Americans are 'true believers'?

Just read a post in the Lounge Forum that 74% of Americans know that the earth revolves around the sun.

But conversely that would mean 26% didn't believe this.

That's not true is it, come on surely not?

You'd be surprised. I've met people who don't believe there were ever dinosaurs, cavemen, or that the Earth is millions of years old.

Can anything be trusted anymore. By the time political spin is placed on it, or the person ( or group.) is paid to prove a fact?
