Whaley Bridge,Nr Buxton,

Not a suprise to see veterans acknowledging each other,US civilians acknowledging service.Dissapointing this year to see a lack of acknowledgement and respect on the UK forums/threads for armistice Day.I call out someone for disrespect in the forum(I lost family in ww1) and I'm the bad guy?

Medal that his dad gave him

Tucked away in his duffel bag

Said dont worry about a thing pops

You'll be getting this when I get back

Walking down the road

Through the city on a routine patrol

Shots rang out and he hits the ground

Sergeant yells man down

Fought for their country in Iraq

And this is for the ones who aint coming back

Fought for their country in Iraq

They left their families at home

To come over here and die alone

Carried his coffin onto the plane

Gave a salute as they read off his name

They packed away that duffel bag

And the silver star that he got from his dad

There was one old man when we got off the plane

Noone there for him to grieve

The whole damn company shook his hand

Brothers to the son he will never see

This is for the ones who aint coming back

Fought for their country in Iraq

And they left their families at home

To come over here and die alone

And this is for the ones who aint coming back

Fought for their country in Iraq

And they left their families at home

To come over here and die alone
