I think with the new liberal socialist govt in place theres no reason why all Americans cant have affordable health care.

Anyway.... it’s (ACA) been in place for years. I’m looking for feedback from those Americans affected positively or otherwise by it. Not looking for opinions from overseas or hate motivated folks.

With an adult in charge America will prosper making health care for all affordable.

Why are overseas people who have compassion for others who maybe struggling to get their healthcare needs met "hate motivated"?

We have friends who are both school teachers who couldn’t afford their insurance anymore after ACA was made mandatory. They could keep their doctors if they liked them despite being told by Barry that they could. They couldn’t afford it so much that they couldn’t pay it after paying mortgage and other necessary expenses. As a family of four, they didn’t use health care for the entire calendar/tax year, but when they filed their taxes, they were charged for all the payments they missed. In the end, one of them had to take another job after teaching kids all day just to make ends meet.

It's is not "Affordable " to working class families. We have the VA it's basically a model of the NHS. We took on extra insurance because it's a terrible health system. Long waits ect ect ect. Now imagine doing the same model for 340 million people.

I was unemployed when ACA came online. It was ubserd, how much it cost me to get my medical back. After getting reemployed it took 3 months to get me off the rolls so j wasn't being charged any further. That job laied me off and I opted not to have any coverage as apposed to crap coverage with doctors i couldn't get appointments with and stupid co-pay's for generic meds.

That sounds like quite a few stories I’ve heard from friends and family as well. My family and I all have coverage under the VA, so we’re not immediately affected by it, which is why I’m curious.

If you recall during the election it was the biggest point the dems were trying to make, and I just couldn’t understand why as so many people who work for a living don’t like it.

The price, according to friends and family members who use it, is income driven. We have friends who retired and opted for the ACA insurance because their current retirement income is so low the price for coverage is minimal, less than what was previously taken from their paychecks to cover company provided health insurance. The more you earn, the more you pay. It seems to be liked by low income folks who really dont need healthcare but like mentioned previously the flip side to that coin is delays in getting care, scheduled appointments, etc. That being said we are not supporters of the ACA but have talked to folks who like it, and those that dislike it, on both sides of the political fence
