"Would have to be the old F250 with the CAT 3208. Every time I visit New Iberia there is a dealer accross from the hotel the company uses, they have tons of pick ups. Sadly getting them into the UK with all the import charges makes them crazy expensive. I've hired a Chevrolet Suburban that was fully loaded. It was like driving the Arc Royal lol." Whats an Arc Royal?

Whats an Arc Royal?" Lol it was a Naval aircraft carrier. The size of the vehicle was huge compared to what we have in the UK. The largest SUV we have is either the Range Rover long wheel base or the Toyata Lancruiser VX.

"The USA are starting to move away from the the big gas guzzling liviathans that they were famous for. You see plenty European and Japanese model cars now. Reliability and emissions seem to be the deciding factor. not true " The emission regulations you have in some states are very strict. California have some really strict laws. Apart from pick up trucks, saloons and hatchbacks are dominated by European and Japanese cars.

It depends in which state you are in though Texas is pickups all the way.

Loads of Toyota Tundras but I think they are a Dodge Ram underneath? The equivalent that we have to the F150 is the Ranger. No where near the size of the 150 or the towing capacity. There is a haulage contractor that has one of those Ram 3500. Its huge. Double wheels at the rear, and it tows a huge trailer which you see at the truck shows. Trouble with that, is it becomes a heavy goods vehicle which is taxed and licenced diffrently from normal cars.
