Just letting our friends accross the pond know that we are not all actually related to the Queen.

Plus we don't all speak with the same accent as Hugh Grant....

However you still appear to love us immensely

In my experience we are more renowned abroad for being pissed and sick on pavements than for talking like the queen.

I have actually found quite a few friendly people people on FAB. Like I said above we don't apparently use the forums like the Europeans. But we do use it. There are always a few who like to bad mouth people, but I see that when I'm browsing through the other countries forum sites also. I have found its easiest to ignore them and enjoy the experience as you can.

It’s rumoured to be either Prisoner of Mother England in reference to the UK exporting our criminals to Australia or Pomegranate which was Australian rhyming slang for immigrant.

I prefer the first.

Btw statistically Denmark has the best teeth in the world. Uk are 5th USA 10th .

Americans are obsessed with showbiz white teeth rather than healthy teeth. 28% of adults in the U.K. suffer from tooth decay. In the USA that figure is 92% (quote ABC NEWS)

Another myth busted

Same alcoholic content as British beer or less in most cases. You need to sit on it rather than talk out if it.

I don't think English tourists are as popular as you want to believe. I literally get treated 10x better when people find out I'm Irish and not English. You might be confusing politeness for fondness.

i disagree as apart from the jailors they were all prisoners,i think it refers to the fact that they all had ruddy completions not long after arriving and its a shortened version of pomegranate which they thought they resembled.

I was born in Scotland just across the water from Sean Connery, and can order a vodka martini, on the rocks, shaken not stirred, in the same tone of voice, so I always have my kilt, and full highland dress in my luggage, even if it does take up a lot of my baggage allowance. I always arouse curiosity, and intrigue, never going short of company, whatever the country.
