Norwich

So....we’re looking to move away from London and have decided to move to the outskirts of Norwich....close enough to get a bus to town but out enough to enjoy the quiet.

What is the nicest area to look at? We’ve been looking at Thorpe St Andrew and Dussingdale so far

Norwich

Cringleford, Eton and Newmarket Road area perhaps? Was traditionally the better appointed property area of town.

I hear good things about Trowse as well.

Depends how long you want to be on the bus... Agree with previous post if your willing a little longer or maybe swap bus for train some nice smaller towns nearby wymondham, diss, beccles, London. Willing to help of you need some one local to check things out

We don’t want an apartment, we have a son and a dog. A house is important to us and preferably detached. Football also is of no interest sorry

We didn’t like Diss at all, Wymondham is ok. We drive so it’s not an issue but want our son to be able to have his own independence and go do things with his friends as it’s boring being too far out for kids growing up.

We live in Eaton and it’s lovely very quiet two nice pubs and only 10mins from the city centre x

If your still looking for a place in Norwich, horsford and hellesdon are good little villages but keep away from Mile cross

Acle

It really all depends on how good you think the busses are. I live in south Walsham and the busses are poor. However parking is cheap enough if I need to go to the city. Some of the villages are great as are some of the estates. So the estate in Taverham is popular. Yes it’s big, but reasonably well connected and literally a short walk to woodlands. Likewise Lingwood is up an coming. Has a small train station and reasonably regular trains (I think).

Everything is on hold at the moment with COVID. We have been looking around Acle or within a few miles of there.

Can jump on the train from Hoveton/Wroxham very easily.

Thorpe end is nice a friend lives on the green used to practically live at their house so I could party in Norwich.

Near Norwich

I Live in a beautiful village called Thurlton, its about 20 minutes drive from Norwich.

Look at Loddon, Beccles, Bungay there all not far from the city

With a dog and a son look at the coast .not that far and beautiful i go camping on that coast a lot

Hi,

As a few Fabbers have all ready mentioned the north side of Norwich is perfect, Easy access to the north coastal beaches for dog walking and airport , only problem u might have is houses in the Drayton/Taverham are go very quickly !!!! at the mo.
