50 sheds of shit - Bath Christmas Markets (and for that matter, any of them!)

It's that time of year and as above 50SoS is what those of us who's job it is to transport the Great British Public to/from Bath markets every year, call Bath Markets.

We even get special instructions to adjust our stopping positions to alleviate overcrowding.

I really don't get it, to me it's a load of overpriced tat passed off as "organic" and "artisan" because Judith from Yate made it in her garage.

Anyone able to enlighten me as to the supposed joy of it all? What IS the great attraction?

(Apart from perving on the punters, but we all do that everyday anyway, don't we? )

near Swindon

Well said Welshman- clogs up town/city centres and stops the locals spending money locally. Your day to day traders must lose money when these events take place as the visitors stick to the Shed area only

We're off to Bath Christmas shopping tomorrow and will be avoiding the sheds. They're over priced and taking trade away from the independents who rely on the tourists to keep them surviving.

There's one in Leeds that currently has a viking themed teepee that sells mulled wine and cider from drinking horns.

Because nothing says authentic Xmas spirit like crossing the north sea to murder your enemies and pillage their village?
