Would like to go dogging but dont know where to start any advice or help would be gratefully received

Used to be lots of places crackley woods , coundon park etc but sadly boy racers have killed those places I'm sure it still happens but more arranged meets rather than pot luck

And they all know where they are as people post the locations in forums that can be searched by anyone.

Find out where dog walkers go but go there at dusk and see whether there are any dogger's there.
