Going to be in Liverpool for first time end of this month, any good city centre bars where there's a good chance of Mrs being chatted up? We are a mid fifties couple so prefer bars rather than nightclubs, any info appreciated, thanks

Lots of bars but as to being chatted up no idea. Better bet would be to go to Townhouse club over in Birkenhead, short trip away.

Charlotte Street is good for bars of our age, maybe odd bar in Mathew Street.

It's a lush place, great bar lots gins, be busy Sat free entry. There is a Greek restaurant infront, lots parking or taxi/train/bus over.
