SHEFFIELD

we find the rooms clean and tidy and great value and have stayed a few times. The new rooms are better and at the moment are the same price anyway, plus the bacon sarny in the mornin is lovely mmmmmm.

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

Rooms can be a bit cold but you've got everything you need - nice bed, TV, shower, tea and coffee selection etc etc, and they bring your breakfast in the morning. Added to the fact they are attached to a pretty spiffy swinger club and I thought it was pretty good value.

Yeah I was happy with my room too, was one of the older ones, but nicely done out and clean etc plus it was great to just go to the room and not have to drive home!

Stayed last week! The rooms are great, just the walls are very very thin! So don't expect much sleep!

Stayed in a normal room , it was clean, and equipped to premier inn standard...the bathroom was a bit wierd,as it was just built into a corner of the room, but again very clean with a great shower.

The breakfast in bed is a definate plus point

I am staying in just over a months time for the first time. I am going to stay on the Sunday night and was also planning to go on the Monday. You need to leave by 10am and it doesn't re-open until 2pm. Any suggestions of what there is to do in the area for 4 hours?

honestly there is nothing to do round that area for that amount of time. I would strongly suggest a visit to Merry Hill shopping centre to spend that amount of time. sorry speaking as a local there is nothing round that area unless you include Asda.

Google "Black Country Living Museum". The admission price looks expensive, for a few hours, but when we went in August, if you "GiftAid"ed the admission price, the tickets were valid for any number of visits within 12 months. If you're going to be a regular at Chams, and the weather forecast is good (most of it is outdoors), it's worthwhile.

Think there`s a canal boat and system museum around there as well.

Yeah, the museum backs onto the canal. I think you can enter the museum that way with a joint ticket. Not sure if you can use it as a starting point for a canal trip without forking out for the museum ticket.

Check out the 2 for 1 deals on internet - think the trains do them for 2 national rail tickets (the tickets can be for a very short cheap journey by the way) - once you have paid you can revisit for free or discounted. Do the tunnels on site absolutely brilliant.
