Last week I heard that the usual place we go had no DJ atm due to some apparent legal issues. I spent the week looking at other possibilities that would not only have music and atmosphere but which also had the capacity to house 100 people.

I even left Twist at one point to go and speak to the other bar owners in the area to try and arrange something.

On the night the sheer number of people and the issues with bars/music were factors out of my control.

I did my best under the circumstances and that's all I could possibly do.

I was aware that some people weren't overly happy but the fact remains that you can never please everybody.

I have always tried very hard to make the socials the best they can be, but as I've mentioned, last night these issues were things I couldn't easily sort.

"good crowd at pink social ....but wasnt happy that only two bars planned for ....im sure others thought same when everyone just scattered during and after gossip(pub)even tho the floor show was rather warm to say least ,,,lol fingers xed next time theres a social organised there be a bit more planning involved to enable everyone to remain in a group ....."

Tend to agree with Toby on this allso think need a bit quieter bar to start of in so folks can chat and get to know who is in the group. But all in all was a great night great turn out well done on putting it all together and trying to find a place were all be happy keep the good work up xx

The organiser deserves a blue peter badge - what an excellent social - you did the North East proud !

This was my first Newcastle social in a long time, and I thoroughly enjoyed it, and so did the people I spoke to. It was good to see the regular folk, meet some great people and make some new friends. Louise, who cares which bar we go into as long as theres a fun crowd - and there certainly was plenty of sexy fun people there - everyone made friends and had a good time!!

Once again a BIG thank you and well done - go pour yourself a drink and put your feet up cos you did an fab job !!!

must clarify my earlier postings as some people did make comments to me on night ......but seems that those that did mention to me re the splintering of group ,,,and no chat introductions etc ,,,as used to be the norm at previous pinks?// socials etc ,,,,but seems those said same people now extolling the efforts of organiser ,,,,i totally understand the problems involved re no venues etc ,,but when organiser asked where we going after gossip ,,i was told with no thought ,,,,"no idea" ..never thought about it .....exact words ....but lets just put a line under this and agree was a good night ...as i also said in previous posting ,,,

Was a fun night, defo thing I'll be along again and will probs be more sociable now that the nerves have gone lol

I chatted to a few people (I was the blond guy in a red shirt) and if you see this message me, would be cool to get in touch... not like that pervs! Though that may be nice haha =P

Anyway, we a good night, my only complaint is that the last Metro's are too early and I had to go at 10 XD

we had a fantastic night out in Newcastle on Friday and never got home until gone 5am. Met some fantastic couples and singles that we hope to meet again, what a fantastic idea and well planned. Looking forward to the next one xx

We had a good night at the Newcastle social, but did feel it was quite hard to break into the group. With there being no introductions. we must have arrived at the chosen pub when the organizer was out looking for somewhere else to go as we did not know who she was. Then everyone just left. It was only by chance we came across the group again but by that time things were in full swing so to speak in most of the corner's and on the dance-floor lol. We just did a bit of voyeurism hehe just sat back got pissed and watched the show!!! so all in all we had a good night.

it will happen again dont worry ,theres a cpl of us used to do them on another site , the thing what maks my piss boil is the fact lou has dropped off the site not to sure why might have been the comments , over the last 6/7 years on 2 sites these nights have been brill had users from all over the uk attend all enjoyed ,mind these nights take sum planning we know we been there and done it a lot of hard work aranging sending emails and trying to get around over 100 users to either say hi introduce ppl ,like said it will happen again after talking to lou as she certainly cannot be left out after all her hard work.
