OK. So it's the time of year again I'll be plunging into a mini break

Having ticked off London, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Belfast, Dublin.

Where would you recommend as a pretty safe city for a woman traveller with good links and decent clubs. X

Likewise Lancaster. Probably a little quiet.

Preston is always worth a punt (not just saying that because it’s my town). It’s easy to get to. Close to the seaside and to Manchester.

Decent nightlife too.

Glasgow is a blast too. Plenty of fun to be had there!
