It's the time if year when I think of the trips I'll make in the new year. Looking to have a city break in Britain. Anyone have any suggestions of a good city to visit?

Recommendations on decent nightlife, restaurants and events are welcome.

Nottingham is always good for the craic (and Purple Mamba is located there)
