Maybe for some.

Seen slipknot 4 times at Download. And don't particularly like Tool or Trivium. GnR at DL this year was really the slash show so not botherd about seen him either. And seening Def Leopard in Newcastle this December. Had I not seen slipknot so many times I may have been swayed to go.

Newish to Fab but not new to Download, I am looking forward to this year too. Been every year since 2016 as a late Download bloomer, but have loved every year I have been so far.

Def Leppard, Slipknot, Tool Halestorm,Enter Shikari, Slash and Myles Kennedy, Whitesnake, Skindred, Slayer, Rob Zombie, Bad Wolves, Delain, Skid Row and Beartooth. These are who I plan to see I hope if there is not any clashes that is lol.

Ticket bought last night - quiet camp for 3 nights. Can't wait! Did Download Scotland the first year they did that (years ago, now...), but have not done the Donnington version before.

Slipknot, Tool, Trivium, Skindred, Slayer, Opeth, Twelve Foot Ninja, Among Amarth, Heart Of A Coward, Whitechapel, At the Gates - loads of bands I really want to see, and a lot of them first times for me. I am loving the line-up

Not going this year but since 2004 the line up has never been as good. The Sunday main stage 2004 was just awesome all day now its 1 decent band followed by 2 or 3 that I cant stand followed by another decent band. Never seems to be an genre order to the stages now either it's just squeeze a band in where they have space. However if they had a dedicated swinging area we would go every year without fail

I'm in the same boat, but there's no way I'm missing Slayer, Slipknot and Tool. My mate backed out and I'm camping Friday to Monday in the quiet zone because I like my sleep

If a social gets arranged for the weekend, I'll check it out.

Its the same with most festivals now sadly. Organisers are 'gaming' the stages to maximise ticket sales. Such a sad state of affairs!

Once in the village going from past years its fine to get to where you need too and should be better this year if they are shrinking the village abit as it took me about 30 min to go from one side to the other at a standard pace

Just one of the campsites, next to the village and just off the racecourse

My personal preference, always had a great time there either partying outside the tents or a wee party inside them.

You shouldn't have to walk, there's a shuttle bus that runs up to the village. It stops pretty ridiculously early at night though, so you do have to watch out for that.

I agree just the showers alone sold it for me, My mother is who im looking after, although disabled she is able bodied so i drag her with me when I go the village so i can use the bus lol. I do seriously do the carer part though of course
