Those of a mature age tend to go to Mathew street or an alternative is the Top end of town as it's known. Near Lime st station, lots of decent bars there.

Around the corner on Great Charlotte st and Raneleigh st. Lots of bars and heaving of a weekend as I can testify to last night !!!

Agreed about bars in that area. But Central Station not Lime Street!!!

We're thinking of travelling up to

Liverpool too .

We're in our 40,s so I guess Mathew street would suit us ?

Found hotels quite expensive though ?

Yes your right we stayed at the Crowne Plaza in Reading that was lovely too !

Liverpool close to the centre seem to be priced quite high though £150 upwards
