Ibis hotel Irving street Birmingham

Sutton Coldfield

Just wondering if anyone has stayed at this hotel? Are the rooms easily accessible? I’m thinking of staying there for a night soon to get used but need to know if guys could just walk in without any need for reception getting involved? Thanks

At all of the ibis hotels we've stayed, we've had to use the room key card to access the lift or stairs to the rooms. Reception aren't really arsed who you are so long as you can let yourself upstairs.

You could meet people downstairs and then take them up. So to speak...

I know that this is a motel style hotel where each room has an outside entrance but I just don’t know if keys are required to get into the main complex etc

I stayed there

Room are fine and private no need to get involved with reception

Car park is 5 pounds a day

Gate on reception side is open in the night and is hidden from reception so should not be a problem
