Newcastle and kilts

There are 6 guys going down to Newcastle for a weekend at the horses .. we are planning the kilts but really don't want to offend anyone... so would the kilts cause problems or should we leave them at home

I lived in Newcastle the time of the rugby world cup and saw that some of the Geordie's on the street roared and slagged off the Scott's that were wearing kilts.

Worse thing is a charva mouthing off about wearing a skirt... Nothing more just d*unken patter, tell them to fuck off and that's that.

If you wanna kilt it up kilt it up... Its the socks that would probably get the grief anyway
