I'll be there too, trying to forget the muddy horror show that was last year (but was still fun).

I'm glad I'm not interested in either of the headliners so far as it means it'll make me explore the other stages more. I spent too much time at the Pyramid last year.

I know it's only like 5% of the total line-up and I'm sure there will be loads of other amazing things to see and do BUT...(there was always going to be a BUT, wasn't there?)... it feels a little weak to me. Fallow year next year so I would have hoped for a stronger line up than what's been released so far. Still, I remain optimistic that the remaining 95% will be up to scratch.

Yep. The cut off date for people paying off the full amount is the 7th April. For every year I can remember (I've been going since 2008) a resale has occurred later in the month (usually on a Sunday). Keep an close eye on the Glastonbury Website (and other "e festivals" related ones - lots of tips there) for updates; and when the big day comes, make sure you and your chums are well prepared, with good wifi connections and each others details so that the person that gets through can smoothly book all your tickets. I believe that you're allowed to book up to 6 tickets at a time.

Like you, my friends and I failed to get a ticket in the main sale for the 2011 festival, but we succeeded in the April resale - so keep your chin up.

Oh and yes. I'll be there this year.

Me too Doc. I paid my balance last Friday. This year, it'll be my 9th time.

Aside from the main stages, it really is a magical place; although in all these years, I've never managed to stumble upon the secret underground piano bar - or The Rabbit Hole for that matter; I did stumble upon "Strummerville" the other year. It was ace.

The tickets show your photo - and are not transferable. This policy keeps Glastonbury tout free.

Now that the date to pay off balances has passed, there should be a re-sale of spare tickets quite soon (probably on the last Sunday of the month). I got in on the re-sale back in 2011.

Keep an eye on the Glastonbury website for details.

I think so too. It's a different atmosphere there. Those who have been before will understand what I mean.

We're all fairly like minded and it'd be good to meet some people from different places who are in the lifestyle.

there again..28th year ive been!!! working there for a week or so before during and after..always tried to meet ppl from here but never happens..come n say hi..have a gin n tonic ( ill have ice !!)..showers 50 feet away from our camp ..gin before and after?????? fuck the lineup..YOU BRING THE PARTY people seem to have forgotten the festival spirit entirely and spend the entire time walking round "searching" for that magical party vibe theyve all been told about...derrrrr,, sit down look around smile!!

You are right what you say about the festival spirit, it is all around, plenty to do there, the music is just part of the festival. I'm a glasto veteran having been to every glasto since 1983 and have been part of the festival recycling crew since 1995. There is so much to do and see there, something for everyone, i love it. Where are you camping, i'll drop by for a beer or 2 when in your camping area.

It's nothing fancy - just skittles and vodka! I separate the colours (else it goes brown but tastes and smells amazing!!) and add them to water bottle size bottles of vodka (in plastic, obvs!) and can then drink vodka neat if you wish. Just don't forget it's not fruit juice or you'll neck it and end up in the medical tent

Just skittles and vodka - lots of skittles, but yes!! They dissolve in the vodka. There are vids about it on t'internet

It's 'the world famous Thursday piss up' or at least that's what I was responding to! If I remember correctly, Participation requires / involves a pink unberella so that you can find each other!!!

Yeah they have their own app with all the set times etc. I only really looked at it late on the Saturday last year but it's pretty good. It's like the TV guide thing on TV, you can look down a time and see everyone playing at that time. It's good to look at it when you've got nothing planned, you end up finding some great stuff to go and see.

A lot of the stalls have signed up for this 'food for a fiver' thing and you can get good stuff, but yeah expect to spend between £5-8. All the food is fit though!

There is Glasto Chat yes but I left it just before the festival started. I was there from the Monday we had the brief about the parking opening later than normal cus of the rain. So I put a post on Glasto Chat to warn every one. And all I got was shit like "oh he's just trying to get to the front" and "someone always says ball like this" and other shit, even know the day before I put a pic on from the site. Was trying to help. Eh I got the last laugh tho lol ?? I'll help you lovely lot if I hear of any problems this year.

Yeah they are a mean hardcore bunch on there. You couldn't post you're staying in the lovefields or mention foot ware without getting slated.
