Looking for some hotel accommodation in the area while we visit the Lost Gardens of Helligan.

Any recommendations as would like to get out and see if Dawn can get lucky so quiet out of town is not on the list.

Not quite over the hill

Probably best basing yourself in Truro if you want somewhere a bit livelier than everywhere else, there are some nice restaurants and bars. Quite a wide range of accommodation available. Mannings in the centre of Truro is supposed to be good.

Only reply so far. Had lunch in Truro 2 years ago and was entertained by a busker, he was very good with all the old crooning songs. Any recommendations on where to stay, for a chance of a pick up?

Not quite over the hill

There are some good buskers in Truro, the underpass between Tescos and Marks & Spencer's seems to be their prime spot. Can't help with your other request sorry, hope you find somewhere suitable

St Austell is ghastly.

When we're working in the area we usually stay at either the Penventon Park near Redruth, or the Penmere Manor in Falmouth.

There are several lovely Fab couples in the area!

Thanks everyone, think it will be Mannings in Truro if Dawns time off is honoured.

Truro

Mannings is a nice place for sure and is very central, just outside of the town centre but still within walking distance from the town centre is the Alverton Manor much more idyllic setting with gardens in old building, so may be paying more. https://thealverton.co.uk/ . You mentioned busker in earlier reply, there is one who plays up by the cathedral who bit of an old crooner like Sinatra, Dean Martin still plays in area. Also in that area was elderly gent who played the banjo, unfortuantely he has passed away now. Hope some of this is useful for you.

Rich
