Bristol Live Music

I'm off to Bristol next weekend and have never been before so was wondering if anyone could let me know about the best places catch live music on either a Friday or Saturday night.

I will listen to most things so not fussy about the genre. ??

see whats on at the o2 academy bristol on those dates. friday is clubnight but sometimes you have a gig beforehand

The Louisiana pub does live music as well. Well it did when I went there a while a go

The Fleece, The Thekla and a load of the pubs around Old Market will be worth a look.

If you wanna just see a good pub gig you could always try the Engineers pub opposite temple meads station..they have good rock bands on pretty much every friday and saturday for just a couple of quid or so or sometimes free i believe.

There's also quite a few good gigs on a bit further up the road at the thunderbolt pub onthe bath road by the iron bridge.
