Agh. Coventry. Apologies to Coventry dwellers. No offense intended. I stayed there once. I would have a night in with a sandwich.

depends what sort of food you like?

Turmeric Gold (Indian) on Spon Street has a good reputation, as do Habibi on Far Gosford St and Aqua on The Butts, by the Ramada Hotel (both Middle Eastern). Millsy's Bistro in Earlsdon is popular for burgers/pizzas and there's a good Noodle Bar in the square near Spires bar in the centre. Also, not a restaurant but the falafel and hummus wraps from the stall on Market Way are yummy x

Went to a nice place called Blue Cafe (or summat) the other night.

TripAdvisor is your friend (how we found the place)

Catthorpe

Travel out a little and book a table at the seafood restaurant, Loch Fyne in Knowle. An amazing foodie experience and well worth that little bit of travelling distance.

Or if you like a steak then Beef in Kenilworth is supposed to be good (so I'm told, not been myself - yet...)

I can see who the foodies are on here!!

Loch fyne, over priced chain, dog shit food, boring predictable menus, full of pretentious wankers from knowle.

Beef Kenilworth, a food destination owned by the same guy who owns Simpsons in Birmingham, which is Michelin stared. Fantastic setting, amazing food and the steaks are to die for!

Plenty of eateries, Earlsdon good for a night out, going there Fri night actually, but on the whole Coventry is a shit place. I've said It before on here, Coventry City council just finishing off what the Luftwaffa started.

Turmeric Gold is awesome. Really good food. Other than that, it's not good for restuarants. Good takeaway though, especially around the student area - just east of the ring road. Decent kebabage.

Avoid the chinese places in town, they are god awful - some of the worst I've had.

I lived there for a couple of years. Not the best place, but there are some spots to be had.
