I hardly ever see social meets in Liverpool. Would anyone be interested, because if so we could make it a monthly thing! Could be a laugh! Views and opinions please!

Hmmm 3 weeks ago and not a peep since!

We've learned if you want to get exactly the meeting you want then you have to arrange it yourself and not rely on others.

Arrange it and people will come.

"What about Friday 11th April?"

probably best to give at least 3 weeks notice,, post it on your profile, and in the meets section, as well as here, just so it gets the most coverage.

have you a venue organised?

make sure they know the craic, and attendees know what kind of a social it is (meet n greet or play, as it were)

and look forward to sitting there alone, or with just a couple of other people around, as thats what usually happens.

people are all talk.

I'd come to this.. But would it not be better in the townhouse on the wirral? Atleast if people didn't show up, it wouldn't be a complete waste of time?

stud, if you want to organise one, make sure the pub in question is happy for it, as if its busy, they may not be too happy if a load of swingers descend on their place unannounced lol.

you may also like to see if they have a separate room for everyone to be in, so they dont start chatting to 'nilla's about shagging around, and end up getting everyone booted out lol

"True Venus, I take it you've booked one in Liverpool before. I'd appreciate your knowledge on such events or perhaps you could organise it?"

no, not in liverpool.

have looked into organising a few down this way, but some dont like the way we would have done things, yet aarent bothered about doing it themselves.

makes me giggle tbh.

there is nothing wrong with you wanting to sort it, bud, just, as i say, warn the pub beforehand, and maybe find one with a separate room.

Also, if a social is not being held in a swingers club, normaly best to not post the name of the pub you intend meeting in on the forums, the forums can be read by non members of fab, so you could end up with people you'd rather not have there attending just to make life awkward

In fact, here's a quote from the forum rules

"Locations

Please don't post exact locations of dogging sites or socials in the forum. You can ask people to mail you privately for more information. "

I arranged a Liverpool Social on this site about 4yrs ago & it was tricky as the City Centre hasn't got many venues with complete separated Private Room(s).

I did get one but the venue is a great part of the city closed at 11pm.

Yet, they were fine with the Social being for Swingers.

I'd arrange one when the University Exams are happening as venues would be desperate for trade.

Unfortunately, Uni of Liverpool & John Moores Uni DON'T have end of term exams happening at the same time unlike when I was a Uni.

This is possibly, so trade doesn't lose out.

That's a shame.

Looking at the exam schedules, I would have gone with Saturday 10th May 2014 but should Liverpool have a change of winning the League - the final match is the following day at Anfield.

Therefore, a Social would need to take place BEFORE the World Cup as Liverpool City Centre will be rammed for games especially the Italy vs. England match.

I'd go with Saturday 31st May 2014, yet that day will be the final weekend celebration of University of Liverpool Students... meaning town will be rather wild & end of the month meaning people have got paid.

Am NOT arranging this as I've done more than enough sort Socials on this site & another well-known Swinging Site back in the day.

Am just suggesting using my previous expreince as an arranger along with years of working in Bar's & Nightclubs in Liverpool City Centre.

Hope this information is useful to whoever is the possible organizer(s) of a 2014 Liverpool Social.

p.s: Don't set a date for July or August as those months are hectic for Weddings/Music Festivals/Holidays/Moving House/Home Improvements.

Great idea count me in. Any of the big pubs in town are ok eg... The big house, the grapes, smokey mo's etc etc. all of which are quieter during the day or mon to thurs evenings. someone mentioned how would we all know each other. I have a suggestion..... Where a ring on the little finger of your right hand, when people see it they say "your ring is fab". Hey presto. Introduction made. Let the fun begin

Newcastle and Gateshead

some people will like what I am about to say... most of the people are going to hate it...

Call this the "pep talk" post....

this is the classic "well nothing happends in my town" thread.... followed by "well we would go".... followed by nothing!

all indians... no chiefs!!!!

what you have found out is that if everyone waits on someone else to do something.... invariably nothing gets done!!

so rather than bemoaning the fact that nothing happens... someone get off their backsides and actually organise something!

because sometimes the followers just need a leader.....

every person in this thread who has said "well i would go" can actually do something about it.... they are in a position and have the power to change the situation.....

it only takes one..... be that one!!!

talk to other organisers of events up and down the country, people who have done that will know the perils and pitfalls and will always be happy to help and advise

if sheffield can do it, and manchester can do it, and newcastle can do it, and north wales has done it, and york does it... there is no reason you cant!!!! and it all those places it only took one person to bite the bullet and organise something.......

there.... go and actually do something!!!

Jesus, completely forgot to keep an eye on this. Glad to see people are keen. As I'm sure you've probably cottoned on, I'm not the most organized of people but I'm very up for trying to get something going with a bit of help. Suggestions such as the big house/the grapes sound pretty good to me for a start like. Also as does the bank holiday weekend as that gives people enough time and obviously most people will be free.

Yay/nay

The above is 3 days old... anybody willing to take charge & arrange this event?

Remember, you'll be dealing with negativity & stress for no real reward YET I'll enjoy myself.

I've done 4 Socials in Liverpool, previously so my time has ended.

Not knowing Liverpool well enough, I won't take up the challenge for a Liverpool Social, but I'm thinking about maybe doing a Widnes one, seeing as that's not too far from Liverpool

I'll have a look around for venues etc and then start a post to see if there's any interest.
