Hi, I've been wondering for a while now what the formula for the perfect opening message to a fellow Fabber would be. I know it depends on taste and preference and is all subjective, but what would be YOUR perfect opening message to receive? Let's think tank the holy grail of Ice Breakers folks lol

Anything that shows they have actually taken the time to read my profile

Yeah, that always helps! And besides, if you don't read someone's profile how will you know they've got purple hair I'm a sucker for purple hair x

Can you tell if a message has been copied and pasted though?

I always start my messages with the usual hi, how are you? Have you had a good day/weekend.

Then the text I will add from what there profile says. Although I never get many replies back lol.

Join the club, I've lost track of how many messages I've sent without a reply. Like yours they are always civil.

I agree but I think the girls on here are spoiled for choice and also overwhelmed by messages a lot.. Not a good ratio of guys to girls

when it has a line in it along the lines of '...and may i say erica looks particularly sexy...' when you dont know any erica's, then yes, its possible to recognise a copy and paste lol.

plus they tend to be bland and generalised, nothing specific about you or your profile.

The thing is, don't we all have an "opening gambit' that isn't too in your face?? I know I do; albeit tailored to the specific profile I'm contacting. How many times do you read on a womans profile 'fancy a fuck' will be instantly deleted. Aparently there are loads of guys/boys who use that!!
