Announces his retirement in the middle of a test match .

Another example of "me me me" ?

Or was he p-ssed off with the ECB for not supporting him recently ?

Mind you he has form .

Once again a demonstration of lack of leadership .

Having played a lot of team sport at local level, I know how difficult it is for team members to concentrate on a game in hand when one of them has a wobbly, let alone announce retirement. Not good for team moral when a match is underway.

Looks to me like he's tried to use it as a motivational factor for the team to give everything they have for the last 2 days when he announced it.

Lasted all of two hours last night - today has been a bore fest - ground half full - no atmosphere -

All about "me" -

Pretty sad to see one of the best all rounders getting slagged off but people who have never ever been close to playing high level of club cricket, let alone international cricket. He earned the right to do whatever he wanted to.
