I live very close to Studland.

The sun is out and it’s sunny but there is a strong, fairly cold easterly wind which has been around all week. It’s supposed to be a little bit better tomorrow but still showing that’s it’s windy.

You’ll need a wind break to keep the wind and chill off if you’re coming down this week 👍

I’m a straight newbie nudist, or at least I’m trying to be but it’s bloody freezing in Devon. It would be great I reckon for a few or more of us to arrange a proper gathering at Studland fairly soon, lads and ladies obviously. Any thoughts from anyone? I’m 2 hours away but have a small camper. I’d rather travel and have a decent time with others than be a Billy no mates down here. Possible times and dates anyone? Im currently on a work sabbatical so pretty much any time for me.

It was my first time there last year and I was surprised to find that I wasn’t bothered about all the people wandering past. I think it’s probably more awkward for them than for us

People do make weird choices though. There was one day last summer where a group of what appeared to be undergrads decided to do some fieldwork on the shoreline in between the two halves of the beach.

So to any newbies going to Studland, park along ferry road but park in the yellow lines and face traffic, park in a straight line as if not you will get a ticket ,take note if you go on a wkend go early parking is at its best from 7-30am and thats parking close to the bus stop area ,this area you will easily see the gated entrance through the wooded area, flat pathway right to the start of the beach,trolley friendly, 2 areas as approaching the beach to the right ,is mainly couples area with wondering single guys ,to the left is mainly gay and bisexual take you're choice ,remember its a naturist beach not a sex beach ,police do patrol and so do wardens, you will be arrested if caught doing anything other than sunbathing,bank holiday sunday people were caught in the act and were i believe taken care of by the authorities hope this helps

Over the years the naturist beach & dunes where you can be naked has been reduced in size & there are groups who would happily see its naturist status revoked.

Dont let your selfish activities be the reason for that happening.

Be naked, enjoy but dont get too carried away.

It had to be 90% men. My wife and I were surrounded by around six men on the main Beach who constantly stared and touched

themselves.

Another couple were suffering similar treatment and after one of the guys was asked to give them some space, they were told it’s a public Beach and he will sit and stare at the guy’s wife if that’s what he wants to do as no one can stop him. .

If this continues the number of females going is going to reduce further as my wife said it’s the last time she will be going.

Hopefully we were just unlucky on this occasion, but be good to know what days of the week are best for male and female ratios and low numbers of meerkats .

I wouldn't say I'm a regular, but I've been a few times. Seen people playing twice when I've visited. Both times up in the dunes away from the beach area. A few guys congregated to watch, but the participants seemed happy with that, so all good. Everyone kept a respectful distance too.

On the beach guys do tend to appear and sit reasonably close to people they think might be game / are showing off a little. Personally I like to get there early, pick a spot and stick to it. If people come sit near me, that's their decision. But even then I would say people are hugely further away from eachother than they would be on Bournemouth beach for instance. I'll often end up having a distanced chat to people say close by. It's very easy to tell if they are happy with this or want to be left alone. Most of the time I keep myself to myself, but of course I enjoy the views around me. All be it discretely. Who wouldn't.

We were there a couple of days ago—the same day the ferry broke down—and the nudist beach was roughly 90% of single men of a certain age,with almost no couples or single women.And naturally, out of all the empty space, several of the single men chose to settle right next to us.”

If you want to play, keep it in the dunes and on the down low.

Hard to avoid large groups surrounding you so I'd suggest a beach sun shade for some close privacy.

I'll be down tomorrow as was a little too warm today for a full day.

Been a regular for many years with my previous partner (now passed..)

Went last summer with my new partner who’s a complete newbie - we settled in the dunes near the front close to a larger mixed group who had a “Fabswinger” flag. I’m sure that helped discourage untoward behaviour from visitors.

Chatting to the regulars helps too I think, then the “strangers” not in the lifestyle aren’t so bold.

We relaxed, enjoyed some full on fun with only a passing glance.

The nice chap next to us got a full show - he’d been friendly and we felt relaxed about him.

One guy parked up later and started w4nking - I waved him away, then stood up and stared back for a while at which point he moved on.

If I go as a single and there’s no chat after “hello, nice day” nor any invite then it’s move on, settle somewhere on your own to chill for a bit or chat to the other guys away from close proximity.
