Do doggers use a consent etiquette?

A lady in a camping group was saying she was disturbed sleeping in her car. The comments included women saying they had people pull up to them exposing themselves without asking and people being followed if they leave the layby.

Are these people doggers?

I usually pick spots pretty far away from towns to avoid by racers but they would be better than that!

Somewhere in Norfolk ask :)

So this was about 20 years ago but me and my then boyfriend went for a lovely drive and then stopped somewhere secluded for a bit of fun together, little did we know it was a popular dogging spot, we were in the middle of getting down to it and I glanced up only to see 3 blokes all pleasuring them selves with their cocks clearly on display, I was an innocent 20 year old and never done any swinging so it really scared me and took me by surprise, my boyfriend jumped out of the car and told them all to get lost ( well he used different words but you can probably guess ) then we just drove off, I was really shaken and at no point had we invited them to do that.

Bottom line is I think some see dogging places as a free for all.

This sounds familiar, i think unfortunately the dogging scene has been ruined, yes there used to be a etiquette

Now it appears that has long been forgotten, hence why it’s a rare thing to find a genuine dogging location that isn’t ruined v

Surely exposing yourself to people who haven't asked for it is assault? I didn't realize people would want to take a legal risk as well as upsetting other people.

I had a hunch it's not for me and I was right haha

They don’t sound like any doggers we know!

Real Doggers would certainly be interested in a woman or couple, but wouldn’t just approach with their cocks out. They certainly wouldn’t get their cocks out unless the couple in the car were obviously putting on a show for them and knew they were there.

They sound like chancers. They’ll draw attention from people who aren’t dogging and then complaints to police will result in the location being shut down.

It’s this sort of behaviour that has ruined dogging spots and stopped actual dogging couples going there.

In answer to your question op, yes, there is most definitely a consent etiquette but as in all walks of life, there are assholes that think it doesn’t apply to them.

As above.

We find guys will approach your car but will try to ascertain if there is an interest.

If you are bang at it in the car, they may conclude you are happy for them to watch and wank.

For us, the old dogging scene is a thing of the past, we much prefer pre arranging a meet rather than just take a chance.

But, from experience, we have always found the guys to be pleasant, polite and self regulating.

The odd nutter, easy to get rid, mainly by the other guys as the last thing they want is to gave their night ruined by a bad apple.

Have to agree with Nicolerobbie. Doggers certainly have an etiquette, and in the last 10 years or so us doggers have actually started to pre arranged meets through sites such as this to avoid this kinda thing happening. What you describe sounds like it was either a gay/bi cruising site or cottaging spot. In any case, your female friends are unfortunate that they were in the wrong place. Doggers wouldn't ever expose themselves without a clear invitation.

york or visiting

People looking to try dogging don’t know the etiquette. I sit in my car or walk to boot etc, route around and grab a can of Diet Coke and hope someone approaches me or signals clearly as I’m not approaching anyone in case they’re just taking a break

I've never been dogging, but if I'm ever lucky enough to attend one, I'd have to make sure everyone is OK with me being there.

Pleasure is only pleasurable when everyone is enjoying it.

Not sure about etiquette, but me and my wife had a close encounter of the dogging kind in a certain lay-by next to a well known garden centre in Northumberland, when we innocently parked in the lay-by and were cruised by another couple in another car.

I think the expectation now is that if you are performing in a known area then ur up for it. My misses bull took her to a know area for her to experience it,he opened the back van door to put on a show..he picked 1 - 2 fit hung lads to join in on the action after he came and then it got hairy as the other guys thought it was a free for all and were texting mates to rock up and join in..

Always important to set expectations up front

Agree with all the above the problem now is people don’t care, they just want fun and they will do what ever it takes but what they don’t realise is that they are wrecking it for themselves. I’ve been a keen dogger now since I was 18 so 25 years and over the years I’ve noticed it dramatically change to pushy and no disregard for the couple who are looking for fun. They will jump out the car in an instant and go to the window over the years I’ve waited 1/2 hours for fun to start so basically the moral of the story is guys give people a chance to get into fun and be patient it pays off.
