The photo has since been deleted, but showed 2 naked males standing next to each other. Only bums on show.

The person who posted it reported it to the police.

its always been a problem up there (I grew up and have family in the area) The locals want strict restrictions brought in for the beaches and this just fuels them getting their way but in all fairness as the weather heats up a lot of the men don't seem to care that there are families etc using the beach and openly play.

The Dunes are getting smaller but still some good places at the far end from the carpark.. put up a wind break and you should be fine when in the dunes, the beach is very exposed and lots of dog walkers.. so I would stick to the dunes 😂 been up there today and it’s a bit chilly .. but still a great place

There's a public space protection order in place now to prevent camping overnight. It covers a large area of the dunes so you might want to check the area you're thinking of to make sure it's allowed.

I believe there are specific areas where you can camp.

There are a few places. Tando, just off the A69 at Throckley.

Ross Sands up by Bamburgh, but I believe it's a bit of a walk from where you can park.

I believe there's a place down by Redcar too, called something like South Gare?
