Pub SOCIALS ??

I am thinking, a lot of pubs are (sadly) struggling.

Why aren’t there more pub SOCIALS?

A quiet pub out on the edge of town, maybe close to public transport, with a big car park. ‘Dress to impress’ dress code?

Surely there would be lots of demand from Fabswingers?

Surely quiet pubs would welcome a crowd in their function room with open arms? Guest list & could charge single guys a significant entry fee, to balance numbers?

I suggest the key would be F & MF hosts advertising?

Fab-name badges perhaps?

LBGTQ friendly on specific dates? With perhaps special TV or similar hosts that night.

What do folks think?

I went to one a couple years ago in a pub, it was social only and it was a good laugh. From the hat I remember organising for the host was a bit of a nightmare, the initial amount of people was larger than who turned up but there was a cover charge for venue hire because the amount of people, but the people were reluctant to pay and then a lot didn’t turn up in the end

There used to be a monthly social in Chesterfield but that was a few years ago.

I've often thought a regular pub social would be fun.

We would like to attend more socials, and no expectations meet ups in pubs to network and get to know people would be great.

there is no point single guys like me promoting or advertising such an event, if HAS to be F or MF profiles promoting for it to get traction.

I've never quite understood why socials have to be organised and kept away from 'polite society'.

Why do we not just occasionally nominate a pub as a starting point for a pub crawl or something similar.

People could meet wearing an agreed garment, flower, anything agreed on and then just see where the night goes.

I sure people can be trusted to keep their clothes on in public!
