Hi all,

Odd question and anyone else have any concerns about there info being viewed by the UK gov?

Of late they've said about scanning images and secure messages to check flagged items of concern.

My worry is that the only way they can do that is by checking everything? Seems like an invasion of privacy to me but wondered what everyone else thoughts are?

Are you thinking of images you've uploaded to Fab?

I don't know what privacy guarantees apply to places like cloud storage but I think that we generally need to assume that we lose privacy, the moment that our images and data are added to the internet.

At the moment, there's concern about people using systems like Grok, to create naked images of others, without consent.

There's been discussion of device software analysing images in the device, for assumed inappropriate content. I don't know how far that proposal went.

Certainly, ISPs keep internet use details of users for many years, so we leave lots of tracks highlighting ourselves, behind us.
