Can anyone recommend us some good bars in Liverpool City Centre for a Sunday evening? We’re staying over night so we’re going make the most of a kid free night.

I really would depend on what type of vibe you are looking for.

Castle Street - a number of wine and cocktail bars, with some decent restaurants too. Some nice 'old man' boozers in this part of town too.

Matthew Street - Beatles territory. Music and merriment. Usually lots of tourists, usually lively. Sunday nights quieter than Saturday (and that's a good thing!)

Baltic Quarter (Jamaica Street)- Hipster vibe, lots of nice bars, nice beers and event spaces.

Hope Street / Rodney Street - Theatre quarter, but loads of wine bars and boozers.

Concert Square - Crazy quarter. Usually lots of parties. Busy if football is or has been on.

Can pass on specific recommendations depending on where you are staying and what you are looking for. Just DM me

A contender for the most desperate bar in town.

Not sure what vibe you're after, but would always recommend The Philharmonic. Historic and gorgeous pub. The Lisbon is a great LGBTQ pub, always a good night.

The mens toilets in the Philarmonic are listed. Impressive tiled urinals. On my Victorian guided walking tour we were shown them.

As someone else said, depends what type of bars/pubs etc… you are looking for.

As a historic pub fan, following are my go to:

- philharmonic dining rooms

- thomas rigby’s

- lion tavern

- the railway

- Peter Kavanaghs

and that’s just a brief starting list

We’re pretty easy going in-terms of vibe, live music would be really good though but we don’t mind really
