Hey Fabbers,

The names Mike,

Despite what my profile may say, I have been on and off this website since I was about 18/19. I’ve met and made a few friends on the way.

My experience here I’ve found that people can be so rude but the diamonds in the ruff are the ones that last forever.

I work night shifts every week and I find it can be so Lonley. It’s hard to make friendships as I have to be descreet too.

I’m just curious if anyone else here suffers with the loneliness that sometimes comes with this app/site.

And if anyone is looking for friendships too. I’m just curious to see what people have done to combat the Lonely feeling.

Good post Mike. I experience similar issues with loneliness, especially since divorce last year. I take this site with a pinch of salt to be fair. I agree with your view on the site that some people can be rude, but I'm always polite and kind amd don't interact with that toxicity.

I take myself away from the site now and then and go into nature, spend time with my pet, enjoy a hobby or two. My work keeps me busy and I study for exams aswell.

Mostly, I'm loking forward to my holiday next week and have booked a self-drive 4x4 excursion too.

This can be a cruel or pleasurable site.

Diamonds do exist, you just have to persevere with the rest.

Remember also to keep the bulk of your life elsewhere than here and treat connections on here as a bonus.

I have been single for 15 years. Made several attempts at a standard dating ritual thing, but none worked, so I gave up. I don't mind being on my own-I am self-employed and work from home, so the office party at Christmas is a dull affair. I am out and about and meet my customers or service providers from time to time, which is kind of social. I have a fitness class three times a week, so that's social too. I have become more and more self-reliant as time has passed. I don't have a need to be with people! If I want to be with people, I can call several friends up people up to arrange a meal or a walk.
