I have never had a problem with visitors in any of the hotels l have stayed in whilst on play dates.

Yes, most hotels will allow visitors, but won't allow them to stay overnight.

Never had a problem as long as they walk in with you as is usually essential these days to swipe past the front desks... a little b&b might notice, but most big hotels wont bat an eyelid. Only a problem if you want them to come to your room and knock the door....
