So the company that runs the Liverpool Pride parade has said they cancelled due to 'significant challenges'.

I wonder if what happened at the LFC parade and the ongoing investigation and also as someone on the Liverpool reddit suggested quoting a recent Bloomberg article the Trump's policies causing a ripples across the pond:

"The Trump administration’s attack on US diversity, equity and inclusion policies is reverberating across the Atlantic, with corporations abandoning sponsorships of Britain’s Pride festivals, threatening key funding for events this summer.

Three quarters of more than 100 Pride organisers have seen a decline in corporate partnerships this year and a quarter of them have seen funding from sponsorships drop over 50%, according to exclusive data from the UK Pride Organisers Network (UKPON). That’s hit smaller parades particularly hard, with several cancelling events that were planned for Pride Month, which is celebrated globally each June in memory of the Stonewall protests."

As the saying goes 'America sneezes the world gets a cold'. Its just sad really as we seeing a bit of what happening with America not just with Homophobia but with a rise in racism plus religion getting involved into politics etc etc.

I'm straight but have a Bi partner and we have LBTQ+ friends and have seen some arseholes being twats but luckily Liverpool and Manchester a other city we mostly in it few and far between don't know about other cities thou.
