Self esteem with meeting others

Hi everyone, we are a couple (mf) and we have noticed we are sent alot of messages by other couples. But more so we have noticed as interested as they are, we just look and think "they are just too hot for us" and it puts us off (our problem i know).

Are there others that feel similar?

Have the same issue. Not necessarily with regards to receiving messages, but with us contacting others. Whilst I (Mr) doubt that there are many people of either sex, who would not want a piece of Mrs Wet, I know that that is not the case with me. I am a realist. I`m not looking for people to blow smoke up my arse, but I AM aware, as our profile states, of the limited appeal that there might be, to playing with someone of my age.

I also know, for a fact, that there are others who feel the same way- "They are out of our/my league." I, for one, know that I am punching well above my weight with Sue. So actually, I may have disproved my own point.

Thanks for your respnse - your honesty really resonates. I think a lot of us feel that same hesitation when it comes to reaching out. It’s easy to assume others are out of our league, especially in a space where profiles can sometimes feel more like wish lists than real people. But your words remind me that connection isn't always about ticking boxes - it’s about being genuine.

It sounds like you have a strong dynamic and that in itself is something others will find appealing - confidence, respect, and a bit of self-deprecating humour go a long way. Age, looks, whatever… they’re only part of the picture. The real draw is in how people make you feel, and how easy it is to be yourself around them.

So if you ever doubt your appeal, just remember: realness stands out more than perfection ever will.

And therein lies the rub - On paper, one may not seem particularly appealing. It`s when you get to actually meet people in a social, club, party environment, that they get to see the real you, as opposed to your Fab CV persona.

No need to at all! We both agree that all shapes and sizes are beautiful. The biggest attraction for us is contact and connection. A cute face is always helpful but we are not asking for God like people.
