I think it's Eddington area, which is close to Spaghetti Junction of the M6. The clubs, cinemas etc are well out of Birmingham and Erdington. Most clubs require membership, which can be tougher for single people men and typically needs application and approval in advance.

Local Birmingham people can advise on things to do and I think there have been other previous posts with lots of ideas for non-swing/sexual things to do.
