It's definitely not what it used to be in Amsterdam itself anymore, honestly. Without knowing specifically why you're going; most of the windows have gone, quality of working girls has declined and many more red lights above transexuals etc. so shop carefully depending on your tastes.

Many cafes have closed, bumped prices and without the street smoking a lot of the "vibe" has gone. Most of the swingers clubs and naturist places seem quite heavily gate-kept for locals - in AMS itself Paradise is reachable and gets mixed reviews. I went as a single guy and left pretty quickly, it's /full/ of single guys and they are very pushy.

Out of town I've visited "Fun4Two" and "Ultimate Dream" - went on events / ticketed nights and had a better time.

Getting around is super easy and cheap - take the train out, jump in an Uber for the last leg and do some research of clubs out of AMS itself is my advice!
